Selling advice

Appoint the right agent

Do not underestimate the positive influence a good, professional estate agent brings to bear. From the quality of the initial advice to the literacy of their marketing material, conduct during negotiations and progressing of a sale, once agreed. The 'right' agent will work tirelessly on the sellers behalf. Rarely will the lowest fee be anything other than a false economy; equally, those agents charging the highest fees, by virtue of their countywide coverage or international connections, try to cover 'too many stools' and frequently end up 'falling between all of them'. Here at Laskowski & Company, we strive to achieve the myriad qualities 'the right agent' must provide, marketing is designed to reach all local, regional, national and international buyers, and we know full well our reputation stands, or falls, on the strength of our next property sale - possibly yours?

Set the right price

Over recent years the market has been unpredictable, but a vast amount of property has still sold since the market peak in 2007. Price is, of course, a determining factor when appointing an agent, but many vendors recognise the dangers of appointing the agent who, recommends the highest asking figure. Here at Laskowski & Company, our advice will always be honest, objective, confidential, pragmatic and based on an intimate knowledge of the local market place.

Presentation is paramount

In today's market, all house sellers, and agents, are having to work harder to attract that one necessary purchaser. Consequently, we are pleased to advise what, if any, work is realistically beneficial prior to a property being offered for sale, and all our marketing material is designed to add credibility to the sale, not to undermine its chances.
